Michelin Agribib RC

Buy the row-crop tractor tyre for precise inter-row traction, excellent stability on road and in the field, reduced soil compaction to protect crops, and long-lasting durability.

Radial row crop construction. Engineered with a true radial casing and belt package, the Michelin Agribib RC separates sidewall deflection from tread stiffness to deliver a long, uniform contact patch at working pressures. This reduces mean ground pressure and concentrates shear at the lug–soil interface, improving tractive efficiency at typical slip ratios while lowering fuel burn. The tall sidewall geometry preserves crop clearance and ride comfort, and the low-hysteresis construction manages heat on longer road hauls common in New Zealand, translating to consistent performance, even wear, and reduced cost per hectare.

Narrow section profile. The controlled section width is purpose-built for row-crop work, minimising canopy contact and stem abrasion when operating in sensitive growth stages while maintaining a high load index via a tall aspect ratio. By aligning precisely to tramlines and GPS-guided passes, the Agribib RC reduces plant strikes and volunteer damage, improves pass-to-pass accuracy, and lowers rolling resistance on firm headlands. The result is better yield protection in maize, vegetables, and forage crops, with reliable handling and tracking on narrow beds and sloping paddocks.

Deep R1W traction lugs. An R1W lug depth with optimised bar geometry increases net pull in wet or friable soils by engaging deeper, higher-strength soil strata and maintaining lug bite as the footprint lengthens under load. The inter-lug voids and bar angles promote active self-cleaning, limiting soil packing that elevates slip and thermal build-up. This lug design converts engine torque into drawbar work more efficiently, enabling lower operating slip and faster cycle times in cultivation, spraying, and side-dressing, especially in variable New Zealand soils and late-season conditions.

Reinforced bead and casing. A robust bead bundle with reinforced chafer zones and a multi-ply textile casing provides exceptional rim retention under high torque and repeated headland turns, while distributing stress to minimise bead seat fretting on heavy implements. The carcass architecture supports field-friendly inflation pressures without compromising lateral stability on-road, aided by low-heat compounds that manage carcass hysteresis at transport speeds. This durability under mixed duty extends tyre life, reduces downtime from bead damage or carcass fatigue, and protects your rims on chip-seal and farm tracks.

Stubble resistant rubber compound. The tread compound is formulated with high tear strength polymers and abrasion-resistant fillers to resist cut/chip from maize and pasture stubble, with added anti-ozonants to mitigate UV and weathering common in New Zealand conditions. A generous undertread gauge and cut-resistant shoulder blend help deflect puncture pathways, while the compound’s thermal stability curbs chunking during road transfers. This chemistry maintains lug integrity over long service hours, sustaining traction and protecting your investment by reducing unplanned stoppages and premature replacement.
