Michelin Axiobib

Buy the agricultural tyre to gain Ultraflex IF low-pressure performance that protects soil with a larger footprint, maximises traction and fuel efficiency, carries heavy loads, and delivers durable comfort on road and in the field.

VF Ultraflex carcass. Michelin Axiobib uses Michelin Ultraflex VF casing technology with highly elastic sidewall cords that accommodate greater radial deflection at a given inflation pressure, enabling up to 40% lower pressure for the same load or equivalent load increases at the same pressure versus standard radials; this lowers peak contact stresses, reduces soil compaction in the root zone, improves tractive efficiency at low slip, and manages heat through low-hysteresis compounds and optimised cord angles for sustained duty cycles with high-horsepower tractors.

Enlarged soil footprint. The Axiobib’s architecture and low-pressure operating window generate a larger, more uniform contact patch with optimised pressure distribution (lower kPa at the lug base), which reduces shear in topsoil, mitigates rut formation on wet paddocks, and preserves soil porosity for better water infiltration; in practice this translates into higher field carrying capacity, fewer passes to achieve target tillage depth, and measurable fuel savings due to reduced rolling resistance and slip under heavy draft loads.

Optimised lug geometry. Axiobib’s deep, curved chevron lugs with engineered pitch sequencing, tapered leading edges and inter-lug stabilisers deliver high macro-bite in the direction of travel while maintaining lateral stability on slopes; the geometry enhances self-cleaning at low speeds, keeps voids open in sticky soils, and spreads load along the lug to reduce contact pressure spikes, lowering the slip ratio in the optimal 8–12% range for maximum drawbar pull and minimising lug fatigue and tearing under high torque.

Reinforced bead package. A robust bead and chafer design with high-tensile bead wires, protective apex and a high turn-up ply configuration maintains secure rim fitment at very low field pressures as well as during transport, resisting rim slip and micro-movement that can cause heat build-up or bead fretting; this improves durability with frequent inflation adjustments (CTIS-friendly), supports heavy front ballast and mounted implements, and ensures consistent sealing on approved rim profiles in dual or single configurations.

Enhanced road-ride stability. The Michelin Axiobib’s carcass tuning and tread centre overlap provide a stable, vibration-controlled contact patch for transport work, improving directional tracking and braking while limiting tread squirm and heat generation at road speeds; combined with low-rolling-resistance compounds and reinforced shoulders, operators get a smoother ride with reduced NVH, more even wear across lugs, and dependable handling when towing wide loads between paddocks, all without compromising low-pressure field performance.
