Michelin X Multi Energy Z

Buy the , a fuel-efficient, long-lasting all-position truck tyre that delivers dependable wet grip and retreadable durability for regional and long-haul fleets.

Ultra-low rolling resistance. Engineered to minimise hysteresis through a cool-running, silica-enriched tread compound and optimised casing architecture, the Michelin X Multi Energy Z reduces rolling resistance to cut fuel burn and CO2 without compromising mileage. Lower internal temperatures under steady-state motorway speeds and stop–go regional delivery cycles improve casing longevity and air retention, helping fleets lower cost per kilometre and meet sustainability targets across New Zealand’s mixed topography.

Regenion evolving tread. Michelin’s Regenion technology uses 3D metal-printed mould features to create self-regenerating grooves that open as the tyre wears, preserving effective void ratio, water evacuation channels and biting edges deep into the tread life. This maintains wet braking and lateral stability on steer and all-position fitments, reduces rib-edge shear and irregular wear, and delays premature pull-offs, delivering consistent legal wet grip right down to the regroove stage.

Infinicoil continuous belt. A single, continuous steel cable wrapped circumferentially around the crown stabilises the footprint under high axle loads and heat, controlling casing growth and tread squirm at highway speeds. This enhances steering precision, combats shoulder scrubbing in regional work, and protects the crown for multiple lives (new, regrooved, then Michelin Remix retread), improving uptime and retread acceptance while keeping heat build-up in check on long descents.

Powercoil durable casing. High-tensile, lighter-gauge steel cords in the carcass reduce mass and internal flex losses, lowering heat generation and rolling resistance while improving fatigue resistance against ply-end cracking and oxidation. The robust architecture, complemented by reinforced bead zones (Duracoil), delivers superior air retention, bead seating and shock resistance, supporting repeated regrooving and retreading to maximise total life and reduce whole-of-life cost.

3PMSF all-season traction. Certified 3PMSF and M+S, the Michelin X Multi Energy Z employs a high-sipe-density, interlocking rib pattern with optimised groove geometry to sustain micro-mechanical grip on cold, wet or lightly snowy roads common in New Zealand. The tread design balances shear stiffness with rapid water evacuation, giving confident wet braking and directional control across seasons while preserving low rolling resistance for tangible fuel savings.
