Drive away confident with a free battery warranty from Exide batteries.

Exide has designed its battery range based on a three-tier good, better, best strategy in each application category. Each tier reflects quality, which reflects performance and life and which is backed by the Exide guarantee. As such, each battery has its own distinctive warranty offer ranging from 6 months to 42 months, inclusive of the new Bonus Warranty gained by registering your battery.

They are warranted against any manufacturing fault for the stated period or kilometres (whichever occurs first). If the battery does not pass a standard battery test for any reason other than after-sale damage, neglect or misuse, it will be replaced free of charge by your local Advantage store. You may claim under the warranty by returning the battery to the Advantage store where you purchased the battery with the original purchase receipt and completed warranty card for the warranty adjudication procedure.

Factors that can cause premature failure of a battery include:

• Charge rates
• Excessive vibration
• High loads
• Electrical system faults
• Faulty terminals
• Sulphation

Either scan the QR code (see top label) with your smartphone or visit the registration page. Registration only takes a minute.

By completing the registration, you receive a free bonus warranty term and secure your battery purchase details if you ever lose or misplace your receipt, providing you with absolute peace of mind.

When the battery comes towards the ‘end of life’ you will receive an alert to avoid an unnecessary breakdown in the future.

Where to claim your Exide warrant

Technologies products can be warranted at any Advantage store that sells Exide batteries around New Zealand. It is important that you keep your receipt. If the warranty has to be exercised, the replacement battery will carry another full warranty period.

Note: The benefits under this express battery warranty are additional to other rights and remedies under applicable laws in force in New Zealand. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage (including but not limited to expenses you may incur in making a claim under the guarantees). You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
