Engineered for increased front-axle capacity, Michelin X Multi HL Z features a reinforced casing, bead apex and chafer package that safely accommodates higher inflation pressures and deflection control, enabling compliance with modern high-mass steer axles without upsizing. The high-tensile carcass maintains a stable, wide footprint under heavy static and dynamic loads, distributing contact pressure evenly to curb shoulder scrubbing during tight manoeuvres while preserving precise steering and braking response on regional routes.

Regenion self-regenerating tread. Michelin’s 3D-printed moulding creates evolving grooves and interlocking sipes that open as the tyre wears, preserving effective void ratio, water evacuation and biting edges throughout the life of the tread. Under torque and lateral load, the self-locking geometry limits block deformation to reduce hysteresis and heat generation, stabilises wear across ribs on coarse chip-seal, and sustains wet braking and lateral grip as the tread depth decreases, extending usable mileage without compromising safety.

Infinicoil crown reinforcement. A continuous circumferential steel cord wrapped around the crown delivers exceptional belt stability, minimising growth at speed and under high load while resisting puncture propagation and tread tearing in mixed regional service. By constraining crown deformation, Infinicoil keeps the contact patch geometry consistent, equalising footprint pressures, improving straight-line stability and steering precision, and reducing casing stress—key to maximising uptime and enabling multiple high-quality retreads.

Powercoil durable casing. Next-generation, high-tensile yet lighter steel cables in the carcass lower electrical and mechanical losses in the sidewall, reducing heat build-up and rolling resistance under sustained load. This enhances endurance against fatigue and ply separation in high-scrub steer positions, improves inflation retention stability, and contributes to measurable fuel savings over regional duty cycles—delivering lower total cost per kilometre without trading off robustness.

Retread and regroove ready. Designed from inception for life-cycle value, the Michelin X Multi HL Z incorporates a robust undertread gauge, protector ply, and precise regroove indicators to unlock extra legal tread life before retreading, while protecting the casing from penetrations and heat. The casing geometry and materials deliver excellent dimensional stability and bead integrity, ensuring compatibility with Michelin Remix retreads and helping fleets achieve multiple service lives with consistent performance and reduced downtime.
