Warrior WS320

Buy the tyre for dependable all-round performance with confident wet and dry grip, long-lasting tread life, and strong value.

Optimised tread geometry. The Warrior WS320 uses a multi-rib layout with variable land/void ratios and tie-barred shoulders to stabilise the footprint and equalise contact pressure. This reduces localised shear and torsional deformation in the tread blocks, suppressing heel-and-toe wear and maintaining crisp, on-centre response under braking and lane-change inputs. By minimising micro-slip across the contact patch, it also lowers heat generation, extending tread life and preserving performance across long service intervals.

Silica-enriched tread compound. A functionalised silica–S-SBR/BR blend in the Warrior WS320 leverages silane coupling to optimise the hysteresis curve, raising tan delta in the low-temperature, low-frequency regime for wet grip while reducing energy loss at cruising frequencies for lower rolling resistance. This chemistry improves polymer–filler interaction, decreasing heat build-up and abrasion, which directly supports shorter wet stopping distances and improved fuel economy. The compound’s targeted glass transition window enhances traction in cool, damp New Zealand conditions without compromising wear.

Reinforced belt package. The Warrior WS320 employs high-tensile steel belts with a stabilising cap layer to increase circumferential rigidity and control belt-edge strain, improving tread stability under load. This architecture resists impact deformation and mitigates crack initiation at belt edges, enhancing durability on coarse-chip roads and reducing the risk of puncture-related downtime. The result is a casing that maintains its geometry at speed and in heavy braking, translating to predictable handling and lower cost per kilometre.

Wide circumferential grooves. Engineered primary channels on the Warrior WS320 provide high groove volume and efficient water evacuation pathways, sustaining a continuous film break across the footprint to delay hydrodynamic lift. Tapered groove walls and lateral notches accelerate flow and reduce vortex formation, maintaining lateral force generation during heavy wet braking. The improved drainage reduces aquaplaning risk and preserves steering authority in standing water, supporting confident wet-weather performance.

Noise-optimised pitch sequence. A variable, multi-pitch block sequence in the Warrior WS320 spreads tonal energy across a broader frequency band, reducing dominant harmonics that contribute to pass-by and in-cabin noise. Staggered leading/trailing edge geometries and phase-shifted pitch lengths disrupt synchronous air-pumping, lowering overall NVH without sacrificing block stiffness. The benefit is a quieter, more refined ride that complements the tyre’s stability and wear characteristics for everyday commuting and long highway runs.
